Looking for Yannuzzi family of New York and New Jersey

Query by jyannuzzi

I am looking for the ancestry of my grandfather, Thomas YANNUZZI of New York. In 1920 He lived in Jersey City Ward 12, New Jersey. His birth is about 1892 and his parents are Antonio and Julia. Both came from Italy but I don't know where or when. Any info I have I got off the ancestry.com web site. It was very helpful but since they came from Italy I have hit a dead end with this research.

Antonio was born about 1847 and the immigration year is 1880. Julia, I don't have a last name, was born around 1855 and came here around 1885.

This is all the info I have on Thomas Yannuzzi. He married Jennie D'Amore. She came from Italy. Her parents are Pasqualina Pisano and Giacomo D'Amore.

Tom and Jennie had 2 sons. My uncle, Roland Yannuzzi of Suffern, NY and my dad, Raymond Yannuzzi, of North Carolina. Both are deceased.

The Italian spelling is IANNUZZI. This was changed once they came to New York to YANNUZZI.

Perhaps if you register as a new user of Genealogy Wise then join their 'Italian Genealogy' group you might find more details. Also there are genforums for just about every surname and most countries ... YANNUZZI Family Genealogy Forum and Italy Genealogy Forum.
