Maggs and Woodland Somerset

Journal by Daiwood

Bit of a long shot but anybody have any knowledge of the connection between the Maggs and Woodland family in Somerset in the early 1900s. My Grandfather was David Woodland and my Grandmother was Bessie Maggs.
I think my Grandmother was married previously to a Maggs as my father had a step brother with the Maggs name.

Ok David Woodland married Bessie Maggs 1919 Clutton, Somerset Q2 5C 1277

The following were born in Cluton Somerset
Bessie Maggs 1859 Q2 5C 695
Bessie Maggs 1879 Q3 5C 577
Bessie Maggs 1881 Q3 5C 557
Bessie Kate Maggs 1883 Q2 5C 573
Bessie Maggs 1898 Q2 5C 509

Are any of these your Grandmother?
What was your father's step-brother's name? There is a Frederick E and a George S, both born in 1911 and both born in Clutton : both have the surname Maggs and mother's maiden name was Maggs. If either of these fit then it would mean that your grandmother was not married when she had the child, not un-common, have loads of them in my family.

Thanks for your reply.
My fathers step brother was Albert Maggs, I am assuming he was his step brother, he was always referred to as his brother but could have been another relation.
My grandparents, David and Bessie had the following children,
I think there may have been another who died.
