Hi my name is Pat i am looking for any information on my fathers side of the family ,my father was George Francis Chesher his mother my grandmother was a Rubina Georgina Kerns/Chesher she married Leopold Chesher, my Great grandmother was Mary Ann Charlotte Byfield married 3 times first to a William Wilson then her second partner was a Charles Markham, then her third husband a George Kerns.My Great Great Grandmother was a Jane Manning her husband/partner was a Mark Wallis Byfield and i have been told through a family member that Jane Manning was from the Wiradijuri tribe and that we are of aboriginal decent and they came from around Hills End and Bathurst area of New South Wales.
Hope some one can point me in the right direction.

My grandmother Rubina Kerns/Chesher was a twin born on 15 february 1889 in Hills End NSW and may have been put up for adoption,she married twice ,first a Leslie Edsea don,t know when,then Leopold Chesher in 1815 she died 26 August 1976 in Peak Hills NSW.My great grandmother Mary Ann Charlotte Byfield born 22 november 1851 in Bathurst NSW,first marriage to William Wilson on 30 January 1869 Tambaroora NSW. Did not marry her second partner Charles Markham, Third husband George Kerns 11 April 1882 Hills End NSW. My great great grandmother Jane Manning born about 1824/25 don,t know where she was born and never married Mark Wallis Byfield and don,t know where she died. she was from the wiradijuri tribe.

If I have the right Kerns family, Mary Ann KERNS committed suicide by hanging herself from a bedpost with a skipping rope in 1901. She was married to a miner named George Kerns and they had nine children.

A Supreme Court jury yesterday awarded £3,086 compensation to
Mrs Edna May Edsea and her four children for the loss of her husband and
their father Patrick Edsea.
Edsea was fatally injured in a quarry explosion at Moruya in March last year.
Mrs Edsea brought the action against the Commissioner for Main Roads
Mr. E S Miller KC., and Mr. R. Kerr (by Cecil O Dea) for plaintiff:
Dr Frank Louat (by the Crown Solicitor) for defendant.

I found it surprising Mary Ann seems to have had only girls registered.
not a George junior!
By the way I think George Kerns may have been deaf and dumb.
