Eliza Jane Fender was my Grandmother, her father was James Henry
"Bud" Fender, his father was John David Fender, his father was David
Fender (named for his Uncle David), his father was Mathias "Matthew"
Fender, Jr., whose father was Mathias "Matthew" Fender (Pfender) and that is where my trail ends.

The family originally settled in Big Saltcatcher, Colleton County, SC and have intermarried with the Rentz and Hires families who came from Germany around the same time.
