McNulty orphaned boys. Which Dublin orphanage could they have come from, in early 1900's?

Query by Melos

I am trying to do research on my grandfather and great uncle but their birth-certificates burned in a great archival fire. So all i am left with are tied bits of information. James and William were born two years apart in Dublin, 1896 & 1898. They were orphaned and immigrated to Canada circa. 1912. Apparently, there was a sister Catherine whom was left behind but that is not confirmed. They were in an orphanage run by sisters-nuns till their departure for Canada. They were separated upon arrival in Ontario. William the youngest ended up in Delson, QC. while James became a soldier in WW2, They were never to see eachother again. James died in battle and was laid to rest at the Kingston cemetary. William died at the ripe old age of 89, two months shy of his 90th year. What are the odds I can find out about their birth and childhood?
