Ella Maude HATCH was born in 1908 in Wanganui New Zealand to Charles and Caroline HATCH nee RITCHIE.

She was a bridesmaid at her sister Dorothy's wedding (to Cecil MCPIKE) in 1927 then nothing was heard of her shortly there after. It was thought she was in Auckland NZ.

Ella HATCH's father Charles, was the son of Robert Loxdale HATCH (origins unknown) and Harriett HICKS of the Napier area NZ and her mother Caroline, daughter of David RITCHIE and Grace LAING from the Dunedin NZ RITCHIE family who immigrated to NZ from Scotland.
