MOON'S of Iowa, and / or Ohio and Illinois
I have been researching my Moon line for over 10 years and have accumulated much information but have come to a brick wall at my gg grandfather. Here is a timeline of the information I now have:

1892 2 June m. (2) Mary Susan Bowen (source Iowa Marriage Record, Newspaper Notice of Death)
1894 11 Aug b. James Vernon Moon (my grandfather)Glenwood, Mills Co. Iowa (source Iowa Birth Record)
1896 b. Willard McKinley Moon, brother of James Vernon (source personally known)
1900 b. Ettie Moon, sister of James Vernon (source US Federal Census Oak Township, Mills Co. Iowa 1900)
1900 d. Ettie Moon (Newspaper Notice of Death for Edwin Moon)
1900 14 Aug d. Mary Susan Bowen (source Iowa Death Record)
1905 5 April d. Edwin Moon (source Newspaper Notice of Death, State of Iowa Death Record) this record lists Edwin's father as GEORGE, birthplace as Ill.
I have also located an Edwin Moon age 10 in the 1850 US Census Marion, Marion Co. Ill living with the John Gardner family and a John Moon age 12 living with the Robert Hassatt family also in Marion, Marion Co. Ill. Name, place and dates correspond to what is known. It is possible that by 1850 the parents of Edwin Moon have died and he and possibly a brother have gone to live with other families.
This is most of what I have on this Moon line. I would welcome any questions or information anyone might have. Bobbi
