I am trying to find info on Susan Mulkey who married Thomas Addison in Va around 1903. She was a boarder in the 1900 census with Addison and his wife Mary. The 1900 census shows her living there with a child, James Kelly Mulkey, 1 year old. I am trying to find out what happened to this child. I find no further record of him. I wonder if he was taken by Mary Addison when she divorced Thomas Addison. When Mary remarries she has a child with her who is referred to as adopted. I do not know if that means she adopted him or she and her new husband, Sydney J. Adams, adopted him. In the 1900 census Mary is shown to have given birth to a child, but that child is not living.
I know this seems like a confusing web, but any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
