My name is Henry Rolfe and I have been researching the Rolfe Family for a few years now. Have quite a bit of history but always looking for more such as Dates,Places, and any other interesting information.

My Rolfes came from England and settled in New England states, then Immigrated north and settled in Quebec Canada. Many of them later went back to USA and moved west to settle in California and other western states.

When I was a child at home my grandfather often told me stories about traveling west, across the USA through
the Dakotas and how he feared the Indians. He told me many different stories of how he always tried to be friends
with them and showed me old plate pictures of several Indians.I was just a kid at that time and thought these
were only stories, but I guess probably I should have listened to what he was saying a little better.
As I grow older I think of all these stories and more, and although I am not much good at putting the info I have together, I would sure try to share what I can and very likely I can learn a lot more in the process.

That's the trouble Hank, when we we're young we were not interested in where we'd been just where we were going. Now as we reflect we all wish we had paid attention.
I'd love to hear some Rolfe stories.

I am not a writer therefore i don't know where to start but will try to put some of these stories in print. Thanks for the response and how true it is that we do not listen when we are young and life soon pasts us by.
