NEWSHAM in the Glasson or Thurnham, Lancashire

Journal by hardaker

I am interested in the Newsham family, fishermen from the Glasson Dock / Thurnham area in Lancashire around 1830-90. William Newsham (<1818) and Rachel [Houghton?] (c. 1809) had Margaret, Robert, John, Thomas, Joshua and George. The son Joshua married Hannah (Berry) from Dalton in 1875, but continued to live in Glasson Dock with the family working around the dockyards. They had children in the late 1880s and 1890s - Rachel, Isabella, Nathan, Joshua, John and George.

Hello hardaker. I am researching the history of the Thurnham area including people who lived here. I have a database which includes Newshams and have added your info to it. I have sixteen entries - how best to send all the info to you - can I send it as an attachment (I've just joined yesterday)or shall I try copy and paste - it's in landscape form so will need some jiggling to do it.
