I love the boy on the left laughing at his father pumping up the tyre

by 1bobbylee on 2011-08-16 10:24:18

If that had been my Dad, he would have already snatched me up by the ear, and have me pumping like crazy on that tire!

and all those women would be giving advice

by 1bobbylee on 2011-08-16 17:17:32

Oh yeah... How much advice is needed to pump air into a tire? But, I am sure they would be able to give five or more needed solutions. Check woman kneeling on the right. She reminds me of the statue, "The Thinker." Check the woman on the back of car leaning over precariously. You would think she has never seen a tire pumped up before. Boy, They would really be into it if it was an 18 wheeler tractor and trailer. I bet they all made straight A's in school. Check out their attention span!!

Have you seen the marvellous exhibition of old photos upstairs in the State Library?
We loved it, especially the policeman "arresting" the snowman!!

I like the woman on the left who is probably standing on the rim of the tire...........that has to be his wife as she looks like she is supervising his work.

I just love those old photos! Thank you for sharing this with us.
