This may be Ellen's birth.

Name: Ellen Frances OBRIEN.
Born: 1877 in Carlton, Victoria.
Father: Cornelius Francis OBRIEN.
Mother: Elizabeth Agnes HEALEY.
Ref: Victorian Birth Index #13688.

Ellen's death in Coffs Harbour in 1938 named her parents as Cornelius and Annie. Informants often gave the wrong mother's name.

I noticed Andrew was recorded as Andrew DISCLIER when he married Ellen in 1884, but he is recorded as DISCHER for the births of his four children.

If you can give a few names of the O'BRIENS you are looking for in Ballarat they should not be hard to find.

This Ellen Francis died in 1877 aged one month. Ref 13688
Her father Cornelius died on 8th Feb1929. Her mother died 15th September 1883 at the Melbourne Hospital, aged 29 . (see Argus 21 Sept 1883)
