I'm new to all this, but here goes:

Arthur Onion mentioned above, was my grandfather and so I have a bit of extra information to add. In addition to the two children mentioned above, Arthur and Sarah had the following children:
Jack Douglas Born 1919 and died shortly after
Ronald George Born 1914
Eric Joseph Born 1918 (my father)
Malcolm (details to be found)
Florence (details to be found).

Arthur changed his name from Onion to Owen and both he and Sarah resided in Gisborne for the remainder of their lives.
