Pablo Mora of Santa Fe, New Mexico

Journal by Federico

With the help of a cousin, Luis Madril, I know my g/g/g grandfather & his spouse. He was Pablo Mora & Ana Maria Herrera Mora . Pablo's son was Antonio Jose Mora born 1810 in La Cieneguilla, NM on 550 acres of landgrand property they use for agricultural survival. I know from my mother, Sarah Ruperta Mora Nigro that our ancesters came from Spain, but not certain of their journey and period of time to arrive in NM.

Antonio Jose had several children, they were Antonio,Teofila, Alejandro,Francisco,Jose Leon,Andres,Manuela, Martin, Candelarlia, and Eulogio the youngest (My great grandfather).
Pablo build a small capilla on his property in 1818 and dedicated it to family patron saint of Saint Anthony De Padua. Mass is still held for the community there every June 13th.
If you think you may be from same Mora family tree please do email me at nigro23@comcast.net
We can share our knowledge of the Mora's and perhaps pictures as well.

The capilla has a website if this might be helpful : www.capilladesanantonio.com
This date is August 31st, 2009...PS
My mother wrote an article is La Herencia in Santa Fe in Fall of 2007.
