Peter George House migrated from Herkimer County to Oswego County between 1840-1850.

During the 1840's history books mention a series of years of crop failures in Herkimer County at that time Peter George House b 1809 the son of George Peter House and Catherine Baum House moved from the Minden, Herkimer County to Cicero, Onondaga County with his wife Cata A Sullivan (family history tells her as being a descendent of the famous General Sullivan). In Cicero their son George W House was born in 1934. The family later moved to the town of Hastings near Mallory and Little France. This is where Emily Jane House and Wellington P House were born. The family established the family farm which exists until today and is still an active farm. When Peter George moved to his area his brother Charles House and the Baum cousins were neighbors. The Baum Road still maintains it's name. Charles later moved westward to Wisconsin and lived there in 1880 with his wife Emily and children (Herbert, Trifene, Elijah, Daniel, Charles and Emily). Peter's mother Catherine Baum House resided with Peter and his wife Cata. After Cata's death in 1854 Peter George married a Margaret Jackson. Peter George House died in 1894.
