The name is originally from Switzerland just after the ice age - it was changed ( the( S )-became a ( Z )in France . In England it went back to the ( S )and also in United States -. In Canada - It is spelt both ways. I hope this assist you

i should have mentioned before the ice age they were on the plains of Hungary . Their was a tribal leader called " LAZION " a Jordan / Syrian
Jewish name . Their name in all probability , was possibly taken from the tribal leader when they split up as nomads to go on further
