Hello Edmondsallan
I have only just found your helpful reply!
Please forgive my very belated response.

Entry 1 William Hamer Mortimor b.1864 is definitely MY William Hamer Mortimer. He is my great great grandfather.
Entry 2 Robert Mortimer b.1838 does not match MY Robert (Williams father) who was born in 1813 - 1891. He married Elizabeth Hall in 1848.
Entry 3 Thomas Mortimer b.1798 does not fit. He could be a brother of MY Robert, but his parents are George and Elizabeth and I have George and Lucy (nee Shurrog). Is Lucy short for Elizabeth??
Entry 4 George Mortimore is unlikely.

Thank you so much for taking the time to search and reply.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
