Researching Nolan Surname from Co. Kilkenny Ireland

Journal by wittychris

My Grandmother Mary Nolan (maiden name) was born in Co. Kilkenny Ireland..in 1867. died March 1955. buried in St Brigids Coon..5 miles from the Town of Castlecomer. I would like to know the names of her parents also where in Ireland they came from. I would also appreciate names of siblings in her family tree. Thanks

Dear Wittychris, Hi there. Welcome to FamilyTreeCircles. You should be able to trace your grandmother and her family (including parents and siblings) through the Census years. Start with 1871 as she would have been 4yrs old.

Join up as a free member of rootschat.com - FREE Genealogy Research, then goto their board/s and post a new topic, e.g. "1871 Census Lookup Request Please NOLAN family, Kilkenny". Rootschat - Ireland (Historical Counties), Kilkenny.

In addition, there are other Kilkenny boards that you can goto, genforums, goireland, etc. Just 'google'.

Also, please edit this journal to show your surname research separated by commas, so that links to the surnames are clickable and therefore searchable to others.

And if you click on CANTWELL you will see all the data I have stored there and also all the journals written plus good links.

Example

NOLAN, WALSH, PIERCE, CANTWELL

Best of luck,
Alison.
