Reseigh family from Cornwall

Query by Kahryn

Hello, from rainy Sheffield Yorkshire England! I'm attempting to trace Thomas Harvey Reseigh and his wife Frances Sarah Reseigh. Also Thomas' brother and family - James and Elizabeth Mary Reseigh and their daughter Alice Louisa Reseigh. From what I can gather they emigrated to South Australia from England - James doesn't appear in the English Census after 1871 and Thomas appears in 1881 but not after that. The brothers originate from Paul, Cornwall and the girls where born in - Frances in Limehouse and Elizabeth in Chatham Kent. I would dearly like to find them! Seems like a black hole at the moment!
Regards
Kathryn

Hi Kathryn

Have you had a look at the Trove Australia site? There are lots of references to Reseigh families.

Looks like Alice Louisa was a teacher - there are quite a few references to her.

There's a Thomas Reseigh, along with his wife, Bessie, buried in Reefton Suburban Cemetery in Reefton, West Coast, New Zealand. Perhaps Thomas moved from Australia to NZ.
