My 4th great grandparents were Richard TONKIN & Honour GUY. They were married on the 26 October 1793 in St Levan, Cornwall. Three of their sons came out to South Australia in the 1840s and took up farming in the Adelaide district.

They arrived at Port Adelaide, South Australia, on the Cressy in 1847 with their five children. During the voyage they also lost their young daughter, Elizabeth Jane, who was just a babe in arms.
