Hello im looking for a richardson who was a farm owner in TN he fathered a son with my great grandmother in 1914. He also had at least one other son with a black woman. My great grandmother was also sold to this man for two cows by a family named venderford. This man also may have been cherokee indian or choctaw.
If any of this sounds familiar
please let me know thank you!

I need to know more about the people you mentioned in order to determine if the man you are searching for is a relative or if I have any information on him. What was your Great Grandmother's name? Where in Tennessee did they live? He fathered a son in 1914 but men can father children well into their senior years. How old was your Great Grandmother when she fathered the son? If your great grandmother was sold to the man then the transaction would have had to of taken place prior to 1865. It is unlikely that she would have been able to bear children in 1914. I had my DNA tested and there is no Indian blood in my direct line. I can also tell you that all of my direct ancestors supported the Union and none of them were slave owners. But some of my distant relatives were. As to the identify of the man you are looking for there's just not enough information in your post to make a determination. Hope this helps.

I came across this as I was looking for Richardson's in Campbell Co, TN. On an 1880 Census for Campbell Co I came across something that I was wondering about. I had been researching a Squire Sharp and on the 1880 Census he is living in Walker, Campbell Co, TN. Squire was born around 1845 according to the census as he said that he was 35.He also served with the Union in the USCT. The thing that I noticed was that there was a Lou Richardson in the household; she was 44, white and described as his sister. I wondered about the relationship between them. Did they have the same father?
On the 1870 Census for Ward 7, Claiborne Co, Louisiana, there is an L. Sharp born in Tennessee and mulatto. Living in his household was a J Richardson, 21, white, born in Tennessee; he was studying law.
I was wondering what the relationship was between these Richardson and Sharps.
