NOTES
by janilye on 2012-09-22 03:59:35
I didn't realise Harry was related. His father William Riggs came out on the Marshall Bennett in 1853. He and Ann Jane Parker were married in St. George's Church, Gawler, South Australia on the 1 May 1856.
As far as I can tell these are their children and there is no George Murray Riggs;
George (1858-1858) born and died in Gawler
Mary Jane (1859-1924) died in Melrose, South Australia
Allice Ann (1860-died as an infant)
Harry Parker (1861-1946) died in Fremantle
James Parker (1863-1948) died Gawler, South Australia
Esther Allen (1865-1944) died in Riverton, South Australia
Albert William (1867-1938) died in Port Pirie, South Australia
Alice Edith (1871-1950) died in Port Pirie, South Australia
John Andrew (1873-1962) died in Adelaide, South Australia
George Handel (1876-1969) died in Gawler married Ethel Strongman (1878-1958)
Annie Elizabeth (1879-1954) died in Largs Bay, South Australia
... I was of the opinion that if George Murray Riggs was related at all it would be as a brother to William Riggs. Have to find immigration record.
