I think there may be a mistake with one of the marriages you have on here. In NZ BDM it says : Ernst Johann Christian Siggelkow married Sophia Maria Amalia LANGE in 1857, not as you have him marrying Sophia Dorothea SCHWASS.

Sophia Dorothea (Johanna Amalia) SCHWASS married John Frederick LANGE in 1853 in NZ.

thank you for your comment donnell but I don't have any Schwass marrying a Siggelkow in the above list. Maybe in another posting??

Yes sorry .......I was just looking again and thinking 'it's right on this page' - it's the page where you talk about their daughter 'Anna Dorothea Sophia b 1863', that page you have her mother as 'Sophia Dorothea Schwass'. Just a bit confusing. I trying to get all the right people matched correctly. ( By the way I love your site and all the stuff you have about the Siggelkow's - it's fabulous.)
I am trying to trace Anna dorothea Sophia's big sister, Elenora Margareit(she' my husbands gt gt gm) I think her father was the 'Ernst Heinrich Christian Siggelkow' that came out to NZ on the Skiold in 1844. But he seems to change his name to Ernst Johann (or John) Christian Siggelkow. And even in NZ BDM, two chn seem to be born with him listed as Ernst John 'Frederick'! Confusing. Don't know if you can shed some light. Thanks heaps, lisa

Never mind.........I think I have worked it out now.........her maiden name was Schwass, but she married a Lange, then married a Sigglekow. So, Some refer to her as Schwass and some refer to her as Lange. Solved I think!
