Oh how wonderful I never knew there was a Slows Cottage do you know the story behind it at all?

Slow's cottage was built in 1865, as the shale mine manager's residence. The original house was a two room solid sandstone cottage, with timber floors, a fireplace in a small lounge room, a lean to kitchen, and a large bedroom. In 1927 an extension of one bedroom, a kitchen was added in Baltic pine cladded siding. In 1972 a bathroom, toilet and laundry block was added by Stan and Mary slow. the house was sold when Mary, stans' widow moved to diamond towers' retirement village.
