- married Charles NORGROVE (1903-1984) in 1923

* Arthur Charles Elon Oemcke (1873-1930)
- married Phillipa Annie JENKINS (1875-1947) in 1900
- 4 Oct 1930 On October 4, at Auckland Hospital, Arthur Charles, dearly loved husband of Annie Oemcke; aged 57 years. Funeral will leave his late residence, 24 Kelmarna Avenue, Herne Bay, to-morrow (Sunday), October 5, for Waikaraka

- married Elicia Ann (nee HUNTER, formerly HOLLOWAY (1876-1927) in 1912
- Elicia had been married to William Enock Holloway in 1896 & had a son, Arnold Holloway in 1899
- 27 May 1927 One May 27 1927, at her residence, Campbell Road, Onehunga, Elicia, the beloved wife of August Oemecke, and mother of Bert Holloway, aged 51 years. Deeply regretted. The funeral will leave the above address for Waikaraka Cemetery on Monday at 11 a.m

- married Frederic Arthur CLARKE 28 Jan 1902 at her sisters residence. Grey Lynn, Auckland
- eldest son of C. I. Clarke of Auckland

On August 19, Ronald Arthur, loved and only son of F. A. and E. E. Clarke, Corbett Scott Avenue, Epsom, Auckland, aged 14 years. Private interment

Ernest was born in Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach, Germany
- married Thurza/Thirza Anne CASHMORE (1853-1897) in 1869 in Napier
Thirza's parents were Robert Cashmore & Ann Jeffcoat of Warwickshire. They arrived into Auckland 9 Feb in 1863 on the Gertrude
they had 12 known children in Hawkes Bay:

- married Fredrick James LONG (1902-1969) in 1924

* John Edward Oemcke (1887-1945)
- married Olive Farndon CRESSWELL (1888-1975) in 1911
- John died 9 August 1945 aged 58 in Napier when he was struck by Cedric William Hudson ALEXANDER (then aged 19, 1926-2004) riding an unlighted bicycle.
Cedric was charged with manslaughter

* Maud Ellen Oemcke
- married Charles Henry MELHUISH (1893-1947) in 1921

* Maud Elizbeth Oemcke
- third daughter of E. C. C. Oemcke of West Clive, Hawkes Bay
- married Charles BRYSON 1st February 1901 in Hastings
- youngest son of the late Archibald Bryson of Napier

* Percy Edmond/Edmund Oemcke (1881-1955)
- married Annie Maria ENGLEBRETSEN (1878-1928) in 1901
- 10 March 1928 The death occurred at the Auckland Hospital last evening of Mrs Maria Oemcke, of Napier, who received spinal injuries through the capsize of a lorry on the Razorback between Pukekohe and Mercer on 27 February. Her husband who was driving the lorry was uninjured.the INQUEST
- Percy next married Elizabeth Jane BUSH (1887-1974) in 1929

*Rosalina Oemcke
- married Percy John PARKINSON in 1920

Alice Pearl- birth not recorded until 1984- yes you read right. She was born dec 12th 1898- when her mother married Angus in 1899, the girls were put in an orphanage and Alice was adopted out.

Still stuck on my Grandmother ( Nana) Her mother Ethel Oemcke. Nana born 12/12/1898. 2nd illegitimate daughter of Ethel Oemcke. ( Daughter of Thirza Annie Oemcke and Ernst Carl Oemcke ( Ernest Charles 1840-1907.

Hi = my great-great grandparents were Ernest Charles and Thirza Oemcke, great-grandparents were John and Olive Oemcke, grandparents were John and Vera Oemcke, mother Janet Oemcke. Slowly trawling through the history, would welcome contact and possible information swap!
