George palmer steel is my husband,s g grandfather. he was b.in Cheltenham Gloucester eng.1830 and transported to tas. ca 1845. he escaped to vic about 1850. there he married eliza fardnon and they had 4 children. he was rearrested ca 1859. leaving his wife pregnant. eliza died 1860 baby harriet d.7 weeks. two children were still living. john aged 4 and emma aged 3. 1 son had already died. what happened to the others.? he married again1866 to Margaret McDonald in Bendigo where they raised 10 children. one of which was Alfred james steel my husband,s grandfather. his son john Anthony hope steel was my father-in-law.his marriage to Florence may bond 1932 produced only 1 child ,john Graeme steel b 1933. wish we could find the other 2 children
