Hi Steve, I have contacted you before. Shelley( Lannan)Clark. Iam still getting around to sending you the info on my dad Capt Leslie Lannan.It is 'lost' in my old computer although I had it backed up!! aaargh! I would be interested in finding out about the remembrance group. There is a man doing research and I think a book on the 2/22nd...also in my computer somewhere. Cheers Shelley Clark

hi everyone this is Knocker from Bendigo Australia we have a large 2/22 lark Force group started two year s ago for information there are still two remaining members of LARK Force alive in Victoria that we are always in contact with.
My wifes Uncle was in 2/22 and perished on the Monyevideo Maru july 1st 1942 when it was sunk by the American Submarine 'Sturgeon" wilst enroute to Hainan island .

We would certainly love to hear from any one who has relatives involved of families waiting for information please do contact us .

Can you send me more info please, my dad was Major Les Lannan, I may be able to contribute something to the Lark Force group. I have my dad's diaries kept while he was in Zentsuji camp,etc. have you contacted Roger Miller(I think that's his name)

Shelley thank you for your response We have just marched in the ANZAC Parade for the first time here in Bendigo under the Lark Force Montevideo Maru banner and were very honored to have Major Williams Daughter march with us whom we discovered lives here in town .what a beautiful person she is .We have many photos and letters from many families collections and would love to read the diaries from your relative .these items are so precious .We have been putting photos and stories together and will eventually give them to the Australian War Memorial in Canberra to be put on disc for future generations to enjoy If you would like to contact us our phone no is 0354463277 and we would love to help you in any way we can We also have been in contact with Rod Miller

Excellent news thanks! I may have some things which would be useful, A'cheque' signed by my dad to the Fuzzy Wuzzies for food while they were hiding in bush before being taken on the Naruto Maru to Japan and Zentsuji Camp, a photo of the Lark's in Zentsuji and his diaries kept in Camp of food produced in their garden.
