Still looking for information on Georgina (Georgiana) Florist Firth b1892

Journal by Nonn

I have some information that Georgina worked as a governess in the Warren/Scone area in NSW Australia. in 1905 she was 15years old so from that time on is what I am trying to find out information. I know she visited with a family by the name of White in that area, I know this is not much to go on but its all I have, I am wondering if there are any records etc.. that would have that information of her being a governess. Thanks.

Dear Nonn, Hi. Your best bet would be to try and find a local family historical group from the area of Warren / Scone that may have records on your FIRTH family and maybe the WHITEs.

Scone and Upper Hunter Historical Society Inc.

Australian Heritage have a look at the other entries for S - see Scone. Also see W - Warren Historical Society and Warren Visitors Information Centre.

You just never know your luck. Sometimes these little places have collections and family histories on the very family you are looking for.

Also, I hope that you have purchased her birth certificate by now (will maybe take about 15 days to arrive via the post). Remember that transcriptions are cheaper (google Joy Murrin) than the Govt bdm website for NSW. But you have to have the Registration No. first from the bdm site before you can order transcriptions. These are typed out data from the original Certificate.

Tip: What religion were the FIRTHs? Maybe there are some Church records.

Al.
