I wonder if your Everton Rex BRYANT is the same relative of mine of Rex Everton Noel BRYANT b.9/8/1902,Palmerston North, married Cecelia Castlemaine HENDERSON.Married 20/3/1925.They had two children,Wallace and Mary.?
My family tree shows Rex to be the youngest of four children to Henry Peter Bryant and his second wife Mary Ann RICKARD.Mary Ann Rickard happens tro be my great grandmothers younger sister.Would like to correspond further with you on this .Would also like to view your family tree to check further and compare for a further family connection. Please email me at [email protected] Jack Richardson,Tauranga,New Zealand

Bingo! We are related.Have you heard of a relation of yours by the name of Shirley Arabin?.Shirley wrote a booklet some years and called it " The Bryants of Ohairu Valley 1842?"That gives a comprehensive story about the Bryant family.I haven't been in touch with Shirley for a number of years now but I understand she lives here in Tauranga and is an active member of the local geneology group.Somewhere amongst my papers I have a photo of Mary Ann Bryant nee Rickard and can send it to you via email attachment if you would like.
My records also show that Rex and Cecelia's daughter Mary Elizabeth Raoni Bryant married an Athol James Duke.It was their youngest son Athol David Duke who was a passenger on board the air NZ plane that crashed in Antartica killing all on board.

he is on the passenger list here Erebus Disaster

and a lovely photo of him on this site: Roll Of Remembrance and a touching memorial written by his brother Noel (that is a very large site so patience in waiting for it to download)
