For Clayton descendants from Alfred Rakataha I can go back further to his father Alfred born Tas, Aus 24/08/1859, his father Charles born 22/07/1828 Tas, Aus and still further. I am currently writing a family history and wouldd welcome contact to share knowledge. Robert Smith

Kia ora cousies. Anne Harmer is my Mum - daughter of Alfred Rakataha (Ta) Clayton. I'm wondering if jonodaniels might be referring to Uncle Alfred - son of our koroua Alfred Rakataha Clayton the first. Uncle Alf served in Korea, he had more than one family and I think he died in Auckland. For duck, go to Google and type in William Clayton there's heaps of info there. Also, Google and type in Hikapuhi - you'll find heaps on Alfred Rakataha Clayton's mother Hikapuhi (Iwi, Ngati Pikiao, Hapu, Te Rangi Unuora)and more about Charles and Alfred Clayton. I'll watch this space for more info sharing. Noho ora mai koutou katoa.
