The Gibb/Gibbs/Gybbes/Gibbes family

Journal by GibbGibbs

There are many spellings of the family name but they are all derived from one family which landed on Pevensey Bay in 1066.
The family is a Noble Family and well documented in English History. If you wish to know more or examine the research data, then my website is available through this site.

I am researching this name too. Although this is not my name, in an English tree I have it appears my surname originates from Gibbes. A Wessex name? Of Naval Origins in Somerset, and Dorset, England. I am not in England or USA, but far away - much further away - A jigsaw so intriguing
