The Life of Hannah Woodhead Haigh Coope Whitehead 1808 - 1874.
Hannah was christened, August 15, 1813, her parents were Abraham and Ann Woodhead. They resided in St Mary, Stockport, Lancashire, England.
I am descended from her sister Grace, she was born in 1809, married Ralph Whitehead in 1830, had nine children then passed away in Jul 1874.
When researching the family in familysearch.org I came across other records that helped to add to the story of the sisters. Little did I know what I would discover just because some kind person added the father's name to the records.
The England, Cheshire Parish Registers, 1538 -2000 became a great source on the familysearch.org site.
Each time Hannah married it showed her father's name.
Hannah married John Haigh in 1833, Manchester, Lancashire, England.
In 1855, Hannah married John Coope in St Mary, Stockport, Cheshire, England.
The big surprise when I was trying to find more information about Ralph Whitehead's second wife, married 1874 after the death of Grace.
I had had this information for many years but had not arrived at the point to research.
Her name was Hannah Coope, little did I know what I would discover when looking in the Parish Registers, it showed the marriage and the father of the bride as Abraham Woodhead.
Ralph had married his sister-in-law.
With more research, I find a Grace Woodhead was born to Abraham and Ann Woodhead in 1807 but died 1808.
I believe my Grace Woodhead is their daughter also, even though I cannot find her birth record, I came to this conclusion due to other information on familysearch.org - Cheshire School Records, 1796 - 1950 which shows Grace at Stockport Sunday School, 1814 & 1818 with her father named as Abraham Woodhead. There also was a Grace Woodhead born in 1809 in Stockport as per the World Vital Records.
Conclusion: With the help of familysearch.org and familylink.com I have been able to follow the life of Hannah, I don't believe she had any children but that is another story.
