* The informant got it wrong when they registered the birth of Stanley. They named his parents as William TONKEN and Elizabeth Kate DENNIS. If you have had trouble locating Stanley's birth you will find it under the surname of TONKEN.

* Before I updated this journal I had Nellie's year of birth as 1865. This should have been 1896. This was a typo error on my part. What surprised me was no one pointed out this error to me after 500 odd viewings.

It does make me wonder!
