I have been researching the Traweeks of (Tuscaloosa) McConnells, Alabama for over 40 years. Having done so through convesations with family member, expecially my Grandfather, Edward Alonzo Traweek b.1881, d. 1969, researching family records, cemetery records and grave markers and public records. My research has taken me from Alabama, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Texas and Mississippi.

Presently I have published the 5th Revision of "Traweek Family of McConnells, Alabama" which includes 9 generations of the Traweek family and 6 generations of the Channell family.

The purpose of this journal is to hopefully locate information that will give insight into where Robert Traweek's, born abt. 1699 in Stafford County, Virginia, father Robarde and mother Eleanor (Hall) of Cornwall County, England actually arrived in Virginia and aboard what ship.
