... Hi'
I'm looking at the history of the Tweedies (my mother's name) and I've tracked down a few who emigrated to Oz and NZ.
Christian, to Adelaide in 1852.
William, to Dunedin in 1859.
John to Huntly in 1921.
Robert to Wellington in 1927. (My mother went also at 18 years but she and most of the family returned to Scotland)

I'm trying to find out more about David Tweedie who married Janet Whytock, especially when they went and what ship. I've tried the list on the internet without success.

Any information would be great to get.

Hi there - newbie on this forum, but David Tweedie and Janet Whytock are my maternal great grandparents. I know David arrived in New Zealand (Port Chalmers, Dunedin) 12 Sep 1859, with his parents William and Janet (Martin) and 7 siblings on board SS Alpine. Have done a reasonable amount on this family, but still have gaps.

Happy to exchange info.
