I am searching for any information on the KELLER family of Connersvile, Fayette co. Indiana, and KELLER of Hamilton, Butler Co. Ohio. My grandfather Albert KELLER was born 5/5/1876 in either Connersville, In. or Hamilton, Butler Co. Ohio. He list his parents on marriage license as Fred KELLER and Anna EMMERT. However, an elderly aunt told me this was not his parents but his aunt and uncle who raised him. When I ask her who his parents were she replied "Let sleeping dogs lie" and refused to tell me more. No one else in the family seemed to know much. One family member said he heard Alberts real parents owned a saloon. Don't know where. Another family member said they heard that one of the KELLER brothers had to leave town quickly because of a woman. Albert was not with Fred and Anna in the 1880 census but I have not been able to find an Albert KELLER in the 1880 census that fit my grandfather. I fear he changead his last name when he went to live with Fred and Anna and perhaps was the son of one of Freds or Anna's married sisters and I have no idea who they are. I think I have found all of Anna's siblings but have not found any females as Fred KELLERs siblings. Fred immagrated from Germany. Fred settled in Connersville, Ind. but had many relatives in Hamilton, Ohio.
