Shubael moved to North Carolina in 1772. He served in the Revolutionary War in various capacities after his removal to that state. His brothers HAWES (born 1733), BENJAMIN (born 1736) and TIMOTHY (born 1743)also moved to North Carolina.

I am trying to find where SHUBAEL AND MARTHA CLAGHORN settled in North Carolina. I would also like their death dates.

Thanks to janilye for providing the four missing children of Thomas MAY and Elizabeth EDWARDS, I am still two short and they are probably the ones who died young.

There were 13 children born of which two had died before the 1911 census.

I would like to know more about my great grandfather's brothers and sisters. I would really be thankful.

Any information anyone can provide on either Thomas MAY and Elizabeth EDWARDS (like their full birth date, siblings, parents etc) or Thomas MAY and Elizabeth VICKERY (like their full birth date, siblings, parents etc) would also be appreciated.

I am looking for verified information (birth place, year of birth) on ANN (ANNA) CLARA SIMONS.

In documents, she has been variously referred to as Ann, Ann Clara, Anna, Anna Clara and just Clara.

LDS and others have her parents as Walter Simons and Catherine Wiffen (married early 1842 in Chelmsford, Essex, England - BMD UK Chelmsford Mar 1842 #51);

There is no UK or NZ BMD birth for ANN(A) SIMONS (on any variation) that would match info given. Some sources I have seen give 1842 and others 1847. Her death certificate gives it practically as 1847. LDS give it as 1842.

She married Jeremiah Crowell NORTON (born 6 June 1819 Martha's Vineyard, Dukes County, Massachusetts, USA; died 31st Aug 1897 Northland, NZ) on 5 July 1862 Auckland, NZ (NZ BMD 1862/4505).

It is interesting to note that she married as Clara Simons and he as Jeremiah Carvell Norton (widower).

After Jeremiah Crowell NORTON died in 1897; she married Joseph TIMPERLEY(her son's father-in-law) in 1899. This time she calls herself Ann Clara (NZ BMD 1899/3021).

She died 5th May 1914; Again she is noted as Ann Clara (NZ BMD 1914/2768).

I wonder what her real first names were?
