I'm searching for decendants of Joseph Taylor born in Longwood, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England in 1848.
Fathers name (possibly) Thomas, mothers name Alice.

He married Elizabeth Atkinson Ramsden c.1870 and they appear on the 1871 England census living together at Spring Mill, Linthwaite, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. The name of Elizabeth's father is John G Ramsden, mothers name Alice Ramsden.

It is believed they emigrated to Canada as no trace can be found of them on any future England, Scotland or Wales census.

If so, it is likely they emigrated between the years of 1873-1881. They left behind a young daughter Alice Hannah Taylor (born October 9th 1872). Alice Hannah was brought up by her grandparents John and Alice Ramsden. They lived at Bargate, Linthwaite, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England.

Alice Hannah married and raised nine children. I have often wondered what circumstances prevented her from joining her parents and if she maybe had siblings she never knew existed.

I never knew Alice Hannah, she died long before I was born, she was my Grandmother.
