looking for Gibsons who have connections with Haywood and/or Covington connections in North Carolina primarily
I recently read part of a speech by Col. Preston Gibson. It mentions an area called Green Pond near Gibson,NC. I have other information that mentions that place. Any ideas? Both of my grandmothers were Gibsons. One married a Haywwod; the other, a Covington.
Where is Green Pond? Is there really a "green pond" or just an area called by that name?
