I have found a Myra Betty Smith, born 1917 (BDM 1917/13322), parents were Mr Amos James and Mrs Mabel Sarah Ann As yet I still haven't found any information on a Lester Smith (her brother) born 1914 or the sister (Dorothy Smith) born circa after 1917
I searched the Electoral rolls for 1938 and 1946 and found a Myra Betty Smith spinster from 29 Helmores Road.
No Lester Smith anywhere. I think perhaps he died in WWII or before.
1946 Mabel and Amos were living at 14 Albert Street, Rangiora.
1938 Electoral Rolls has a Dorothy Smith, spinster at 24 Repton Street, Christchurch
Maybe Lester and Dorothy Smith were adopted
