Looking for Harrington information

In researching my (Burdick) geneology, I had correspondence with a Joel Harrington, who mentioned that he had an ancestor named Philena.

In an 1850 census record from Frewsburg, NY (Chatauqua County) there is named:
Nathan Burdick - age 26
Joshua burdick - age 21
Philena - age 47

I am trying to find more about Philena.
Was she married to Nathaniel Burdick ? ( I am assuming by the age in the census that she could be Nathan's mother )
Was her last name Harrington ?
Was she a Native American ?

Does anyone have a current e mail for Joel Harrington ) the last I had was joelh@dpss-lasers.com, but it has evidently been changed as I can no longer reach him at that address. He had advised me (in 2005) that he had family in the Frewsburg area and the Philena mentioned above.

Knowledge about Philena might lead me to more about Nathaniel burdick, my gr. gr. grandfather.

Appreciate any reply/info

Looking for Nathaniel Burdick of Southern tier NY

Nathaniel Burdick, who would be my gr gr grandfather, would have been born circa 1800. Family legend has it that he was maried to a full blooded Native American, (Margaret Patterson ?) . Also, from the biase existing during that day, it has been suggested that anyone marrying an Indian was disowned from the family. Could that be why I cannot find referenc to the parents of his son, Nathan, My gr grandfather. I estimate Nathaniels birth by records that Nathan was born in 1827, in Frewsburg, NY and that he (Nathan) was listed in the 1850 census in Frewsburg as age 26. with a brother ? Joshua at age 21, and a Philena (mother ?) age 47.
Some married names found in my search (female descendants ) are Southworth, Siggins, Henry, Mowell.
If any of these descendants can furnish more clues, I would appreciate hearing from them.

PS - Nathan fought in the Civil War, had 10 children, and is buried in W.Hickory, Pa.
Much of his life and his family's was spent in Forest County, Pa, and in the lumber business.

Looking for Nathaniel Burdick of Pa/NY

The branch of my family tree originates in Forest County and McKean Copunty, Pa, birthplaces of my parents.
I have traced back to my gr. grandfather, Nathan Burdick, who was listed in the Frewsburg, NY 1850 census as being 26 years of age
Nathan was born in 1827, fought with the 83rd Pa Infantry in the Civil War. He fathered 10 children, raising 13, and was in the lumber business. He is buried in W. Hickory, Pa.
Robert W. Burdick Sr. - b. 1854 - eldest son - my grandfather.
Robert W Burdick Jr. - b. 1890 - Henry\'s Mills, Pa d. 1966 my father- married May Belle Phillips ca 1910
Maybelle Delp Phillips - b 1889 Kane, Pa d. 1970 - my mother.
I am hoping to find more information about Nathaniel Burdick (Nathan\'s father; my gr.gr. grandfather) and
verify that he was married to a full blooded Native American, and how he came to w. Pennsylvania or W.
New York.
As a result of my inquires, I have enjoyed correspondence with several distant cousins whom I neverknew existed, and will pass along any information I receive, on to them.
It has been suggested that in the biase that existed back in that day, that anyone marrying an Indian would be disowned by the family, and that could explain the lack of records regarding Nathaniel.
Can anyone add to that ?
Thanks for any information.
