MOODY/BRYANT/JOB in KY,TN,MO,IL.

Our Moody Tree is void prior to ROBERT MOODY born about 1791 in Kentucky. From records found, he marries Margaret Murphy in Sumner Co. TN in 1810 and the family moves to White Co., Illinois. Robert, according to found court records divorces Margaret(Peggy)Moody in 1824 and marries SUSANNAH BRYANT born 1806 in Tennessee in 1826 in White Co. IL. Robert has a number of children by his first marriage (William T, John, Anderson, Ibby, Deliah, Sarah) but Robert and Susannah have one son, WILSON BLAINE, born in 1828 in White Co., IL. Robert dies in 1833, Susannah marries a William Robinson in 1835 and in the 1880 census last name is MYERS. Wilson claims his roots as Irish, but I have no information concerning Robert's early life or his family.

I also obviously lack any information concerning Susannah BRYANT prior to her marriage to Robert.

WILSON BLAINE marries Eliza Jane Reed in 1846 in Carmi, White Co. IL, however wife and child die in Whiteside Co., IL. sometime between 1846-49.
Wilson marries LOUISA ABIGAIL JOB WESEN on Feb. 23, 1849 in Rock Island, IL. LOUISA ABIGAIL JOB was born 3 Mar. 1830 in Missouri. Her parents are supposedly born in Kentucky, but I have no information. LOUISA A. JOB(e) was a widow at the time she married Wilson. She supposedly married a man, last name WESEN, at the age of fifteen but both husband and a child died sometime between 1847-1849. Other than the names JOB- Wesen listed on Wilson's CW enlistment papers-112th IL-2/1864-6/1865, I have not been able to confirm anything else about Louisa A. or any of her family.

WILSON BLAINE and LOUISA ABIGAIL MOODY's family include: TRUMAN PORTER (1850-1929) ** this is my family & do have a bit of information concering TP and his wife PAULINE FRANCIS KNAPPER MOODY; WILEY ROBERT(1856-1941); MARTHA IANTHA [FOX, SCHWAB](1858-?); WILLIAM D.(1862-??); FRANK(1866-1930); GEORGE WASHINGTON(1868-1948); MARIETTA[LOWDER](1873-1958). Documented residences for this family &/or parts include: Carmi, White Co., IL; Whiteside Co, IL; Union Harrison, MO.; Adair Co., IA.; Westervile, Custer Co. NE (where Wilson & Louisa are buried); Dawes Co., NE.

FAMILY TREE is posted on Ancestry.com, however if you do not have access, you may e-mail me through this site. I do have more information to share, esp. TP, Pauline and their children. I also have additional information on most of the children of Wilson and Louisa.

OBRIEN/SHEA/DUNN

My gggrandparents were John David OBRIEN(1838-1915) who married Annastatia SHEA(1840-1914). jD arrived in 1847 and Annastatia in 1857, from Ireland, and they were married in NYC in 1860 & died and are buried in Douglas, Wyoming. They had numerous (16) children: ** I do have additional information on JD and his military career which spans from 1852 to 1899 and some of his children if anyone is interested.

Seeking information concerning their lives & parents prior to 1860.
Known: JD's father was DAVID OBRIEN born in Kildare, Ireland as was his wife, MARY DUNN, circa 1808. They had nine sons, names unknown, except John David was the youngest. David, a marine engineer aboard the RMSS Hindustan, died off the Cape of Good Hope in 1841. Mary brought her nine sons to NYC in 1847. She died in NYC in 1895. She may have worked as a domestic.
Annastatia's parents may have been John SHEA and Mary HALLY, however I have no proof.
