Hi, I am looking for information on the Stevens Family of Wellington and Waiarapa, The name James Charles William Thompsom Stevens, is the most troublesome line to follow. Some information suggests James is a Child of Charles Stevens, and Lydia Groom, other leads suggest James is a Grand child of the above, can anybody add to this knowledge,

I am trying to trace Charles Stevens born Edingly 1813 aprox. He married Lydia Groom 1836 England. Emigrated to Wellington New Zealand leaving Graves End, 1841 on the Clifton arriving Port Nicholson N Z 1842.I have been unable to find any information on this family between the marriage in England, and arrival in New Zealand, other than the regestration of their two children, Caroline and James.
They should have been on the 1841 censis somewhere.
