HI! I am Dolores McGrath,Faubert and have been researching the McGrath family for over 12 years. My gr. gr. gr. gr. grandfather was from Ireland , the Cork county township.
His name was Michael Steven,McGrath ....
from: Tiperary ,Cork Ireland, United Kingdom
Born: 1749 approx.
He came to Canada through Quebec via Gaspe Pininsula to settle in the Miramichi Area of New Brunswick prior to establishing in Tracadie, New Brunswick....prior to establishing in Tracadie, N.B. he was approx. (42 yrs. old) . In the year 1791.
Michael Steven, McGrath , married Felicite Brigitte Boissel (Le-Breton) she was born in 1771 in Gaspe Penisula of Quebec. Francois came to Tracadie and was one of the first settlers in the Tracadie, N.B. , he was Felicite father. ... He had relocated from Griffin's Cove in Gaspe Peninsula of Quebec. Francois came to Tracaide as a pioneer with his sons before 1785. He had four sons, Rene,Julien, Charles and Jean-Baptiste, Boissel (Le-Breton).
As for the rest of the family I have over 5.515 names of the McGrath family.
