Mary Elizabeth Griffiths known as May was born in Noumea 5 October 1921. She was the daughter of Edward Griffiths who was a Welsh man and Mary Payne born in Australia. Her father Edward mined for Chrome in Noumea but later returned to Sydney.
May was married twice. To her first husband (no name) she had two daughters YVONNE AND FRANCIS. With her 2nd husband LAURIE FLOYD she had a daughter SUSAN who was an Equestrian.
Laurie and May lived in Millionaires Row/Canal Gold Coast. I think May died in Paradise Waters Queensland Australia. One of her daughters either Yvonne or Francis was a school teacher or married to a school teacher (possibly English) and lived in either Orange or Griffiths.
Her daughter SUSAN FLOYD lived at some time in Nerang Queensland. Susan was an Equestrian.
May's sister Peggy died in Brisbane in September 1997.

Edward (Ted) Griffiths and brother Albert who emigrated from Wales to Australia went mining in New Caledonia for Chrome. Albert died there. Edward had three daughters May, Peggy and Madeline. Trying to trace what happened to family of Edward.

Elizabeth GRIFFITHS (mother) emigrated to Australia with her sons Edward (Ted), Hendry, Albert, John (Jack) and wife Alice Gwen (Evans) and grand daughter Delys.
Delys Elenada Griffiths was the daughter of Elizabeth's deceased daughter Mary Elizabeth Griffiths who was married to Issac Perrit. She married John Kingsford in 1936 in Sydney, NSW. She had one son called Gordon Warwick Kingsford.
Ted GRIFFITHS went to Australia to play football/rugby so that is why the family emigrated.
Elizabeth GRIFFITHS died 26th October 1944 at 90 Redfern Street, Redfern, Sydney where she lived with her daughter-in-law Alice. The family business was either a dry cleaning store or laundry.
Her sons Albert and Ted lived in New Caledonia, mining for Chrome.
Henry lived in Melbourne and Phoebe in Mid Wales. John, Mary, David Thomas and Tilly were deceased.
Her grandchildren in Australia at that time were Delys KINGSFORD(nee GRIFFITHS)who had a son Gordon born at St Ronan's Private hospital, Borrowdale Road, Sydney, NSW, Australia in 1938.
Also a grandson John RASCEY GRIFFITHS who was in the AIF and had been brought up by his Uncle John (Jack) Griffiths and wife Alice. John married a Cecille Joan VIDLER and they had children Susan and Michael.
