Ancestors I'm researching

I live in New Zealand and most of my ancestors have been here for several generations; many arriving in the 19th century.

The surnames that feature prominently in my family tree include: Aldridge, Chapman, Mathieson, Scott, Gibbs, Prentice, Perry, Lewis, Stewart, Simpkin, Dobbie, Blandford, Towan, Hosking, Paton, Goodman, Johnston, Goodall, Gage, Gordon, Bell, Craig, Arkinstall, Bourne, Sayce, Hawthorne, and Jenkins.

Most of my immigrant ancestors settled in the South Island - especially in the Canterbury and Otago regions. Some travelled via Australia. They originated from England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Canada.

I am always happy to make contact with other descendants of my ancestors and happy to share photos and information.
