Do you know anything at all about Alfred James PERRY?
He was born in Kameruka NSW in 1866, and moved from the Bega area to the Lismore area when he was 16.
He married Annie SCHEIBEL in 1902 and had 6 or 7 children.
He died in 1945 and is buried in Bellingen NSW.
Do you know of Alfred? Can you identify this photo?
Any information would be appreciated.
I am looking for stories on the life and times of Mary Ann MARZOL.
Mary was born in 1872 to John MARZOL and Christina GRIESINGER in Rocky Mouth, Richmond River NSW....now known as Woodburn.
She was christened Christina after her mother, but was always called Mary.
Her first two children died young.
Her third child Alfred was given away.
She then married Walter GOODSELL in 1901 and they had 7 children.
Mary died in 1923.
Does anyone know my Mary?
I am researching the ancestors of William Hamor MORTIMER, born in 1863 in Nether Winchendon, Buckinghamshire, England.
His parents were Robert and Elizabeth MORTIMER (nee HALL) from Twyford, Buckinghamshire, England
William married Fanny BACKSHALL in 1884 in Ardingley, Sussex.
William 22, Fanny 30 and Florence (under 12 months) arrived in Sydney Australia from Plymouth aboard the SS Chimborazo on the 5th July 1885.
They had market gardens at Botany, Sydney.
William and Fanny had 5 children - Florence, Alice, William, Edith and Mary.
After Fanny died in 1907, William married Jessica Agnes AUSTEN and made their home in Burrawang NSW.
William and Jessie had 5 children - Jean, Jim, Joseph, Elsie and Margaret.
He died in 1947.
Any information, whether ancestor or descendant, would be appreciated.
Alfred MARZOL was born in Lismore NSW in 1897.
He was the 3rd child of (unmarried) Mary A MARZOL. His birth certificate, nor that of his older brother Charles and sister Mary, does not name his father. The only clues I have are that he was a neighbour, and the name PERRY has been thrown around for years.
Mary MARZOL later married Walter GOODSELL in 1901 in Lismore NSW. They had 7 children: Dulcie, Ellen, Louisa, Maria, Walter, George and Ethel.
Alfred MARZOL changed his name to MARSDEN during war time. Maybe it sounded too german, and maybe it was a blend of the names Marzol and Dean, the people who adopted/raised him.
He was a driver with a Field Company of Engineers during the First World War.
He also served in the Airforce in the Second World War.
He married Ivy Kathleen TANNER, a munitions worker, on 9/2/1918 at Knowle, Bristol. His address at the time was Brightlingsea, Colchester. He brought his bride back to Australia and they had 6 children. The relationship ended in divorce after Ivy fled to NZ.
Alfred married a second time in 1941 to Beryl Alexandrena STAFF and had another 6 children.
Any information would be appreciated as I have come to a stop on that branch of my family tree.
