I'm trying to find my family. They were last all residing in Tenneese.
I'm having a very hard time finding my great grandfather. I dont think he was a very good man but non the less I want to know who he was. I think he might have been Choctaw indian or cherokee from a few family stories that are left.
My Great great grand parents names were Carrie F. Vanderford (maiden name West) b.1872( I believe she was cherokee indian) and william "willie" Vanderford b.1866
they were married in 1886 they were married in Alcorn county in Mississippi. Moved to Alabama and then Tenneese
They had four children Cora, Earl,Ethel, & Dorah
They traded my great grandmother Ethel for two heads of cow to my great grandfather whom im trying to find.
This man fathered my grandfather and also had an affair and had a son that was half black.
any info or help would be great I really want to know my roots and any possible family out there.
My grandfathers name was Cecil Richardson
