Rapley family England to Fon du Lac, WI
The RAPLEY family begins with Charles Rapley b circa 1821 in England, possibly London.
Charles is found in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin when he married Mary Jane Freeman b 1834, Maine (widow of Daniel Nathaniel (Parkes) Parks) They have two sons Charles b 1856 and George b 1857. Charles Rapley Sr. dies 29 April 1857 in Fond du Lac, WI a week before his second son George is born.
Mary Jane Freeman had three daughters with her first husband.
Many researchers have placed Charles Rapley b 1821 in other Rapley families found in England. My research has found all of the Charles Rapley men b circa 1821 married and living in England in the 1850 and 1860 census. This has been a dead end for me.

The father, an expert mechanic, and a past master of the Masonic Lodge at Fond du Lac, died a week before George H. was born.?

There is a RAPLEY YDNA project at www.FTDNA.com There are two Rapleys tested there, my ancestor and a male who lives in England. At this time and the level of testing the two Rapley men are not closely related. More Rapley males are needed to join the program and be tested to help identify any relationships
