Looking for John, Leonard, Wm. & Alexander Haynes from Columbus, GA through Alabama to Cass Co., TX.
Bio
Alexander Haynes, B: 1835 Columbus, Muscogee Co., GA, moved over to Alabama somewhere; left home after 1850-54 because of disagreement with step-mother. (Evidently, his mother had died and father remarried.)
Possible known brothers of Leonard, a batchelor, John, owned a store, and William. Father's name could have been Alexander, William, or John.
Met and married Mrs. Martha (Hill) Smith in Harrison Co., TX 1855. Moved up to next county where here parents lived and purchased land. Alexander was a charter member of the Laws Chapel Methodist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He died in 1897 and is buried in Laws Chapel Cem.
